Holdiay Greetings From Iraq

Chris called yesterday and was doing great and was super excited that it won't be much longer until his R&R. His days are still quite long but he likes that because it makes time pass quicker. He has been on a workout regime and spends a lot of his very limited free time in the gym. He said it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas over there. They have a Christmas tree just as you come into the office and it really helps with the Christmas spirit.

He was able to record his holiday greeting for home yesterday. Once they record it, they ask for a hometown and then it is shared with the local news stations. I know the chances of seeing it are probably slim but if any of you happen to see it, let me know.

Today is Lt. James' birthday and we got an email from him lastnight and he is doing great. He's not quite sure what to expect from his fellow Soldiers today as there is a tradition of making Soldiers remember their birthday!! Happy Birthday Nick!

Speaking of Nick...there was a great story lastnight on Fox News about COP Sallie and we got to see Nick. It was not available as of lastnight online but I will continue to search and post it as soon as it is available.

I know this is a difficult time for the Soldiers and I pray that they will make it through this holiday season and feel the love and appreciate of the many people back home that are keeping them in their prayers.
