No matter how old they get, they will always be your child and you will always feel responsible for their well being and safety. That's our job as a parent. Needless to say, there were lots of tears shed today and it was another sad day in the life of this Army Mom. Goodbye's are soooooooooo hard!Eighteen days flew by but we treasure every single minute that we were able to spend with Chris. We pray for his safe journey back to Iraq and will continue to pray for the safe return home of all our Soldiers!

We Army moms are also Army strong! I understand the feeling when it is time to send them back. Our hearts ache but we know that God has them safely in the palm of His hand. It is a promise that sustains us all during this deployment. Praying that their safe return home is soon!
