The old phrase, "absence makes the heart grown fonder" is definitely a true statement...or at least for Chris it is. Leaving behind his girlfriend, Patricia was tough but he knew he would survive because of the support she showed him. He had planned on proposing when he got his R&R but his plans changed a little bit. Chris called this past week to share the news that when he comes home for R&R, he and Patricia are getting married. He just didn't want to wait any longer. We understood and are very anxious and excited, not only for his R&R and getting to see him but now for their upcoming wedding. We are very happy for Chris and Patricia and know they will have a long and happy life together.
