Thanks For Keeping Him Strong and Upbeat

It is amazing how much correspondence and care packages mean to our troops. Now being six months into the deployment, the packages seem to mean even more. The job is tough, the temperatures are still hot, they have been there six months and STILL have nine months to go. I look at the yellow bow I have around my oak tree and see that it is getting faded from the sun and is getting slightly torn and tattered from the weather. I can only imagine that this is exactly how are troops are feeling at times.

Chris remains to be very strong and upbeat. He is so appreciative of all the support and caring that he and his guys receive. Everytime we hear from him he expresses his appreciation and excitement that so many people care. The Starbucks that the Middlebrooks send is such a special treat and the guys really look forward to those special packages. I can't thank the Middlebrooks enough for what they are doing for Chris and HHT. When they got adopted by the Middlebrooks and Starbucks, it truly made them feel special!

Mary Richardson has also been a blessing. Everyone at HHT knows Mary now...she is the one that sends goodies for EVERYONE. Even when she is on vacation, she manages to get things together and send off 9 boxes to the guys. This means more than she could ever imagine. The fact that she takes time out of her busy schedule to send a little love is amazing.

There are so many people that are helping Chris through this deployment and I just wanted to remind you all how very much it means to Chris and to me. The packages, letters, emails and prayers are what's keeping Chris so positive and motivated. Thanks to everyone!
