FORWARD OPERATING BASE HAMMER, Iraq – The 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division held a dinner to celebrate the return of the 1st Battalion, 10th Field Artillery Regiment to the 3rd HBCT, 3rd Inf. Div., at the FOB Hammer Dining Facility Oct. 8.
Soldiers were treated to a lobster dinner and live music before Col. Wayne W. Grigsby, Jr., commander of the 3rd HBCT, 3rd Inf. Div., said a few words to welcome 1-10 FA Regt. back.

“We are so glad to get you guys back here,” said Grigsby. “It’s incredible what you’ve done. I still hear about the great work you guys did down in Bucca. You can’t imagine how much you are going to help the brigade being here. The entire brigade welcomes you back. You are a valued member of this team.

Grigsby encouraged the Soldiers and offered motivation for the mission ahead.
“Pat yourselves on the back today, tomorrow and maybe the day after that, but get ready to get out there and start doing your job,” Grigsby said. “It’s time to get your game faces on.”

The 1-10 FA Regt. is part of the 3rd HBCT, 3rd Inf. Div., out of Fort Benning, Ga., and has been deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom since March 2007.
