Coffee Does Wonders

Got an email today from Chris and as always, he was pumped up and sounded great. He had a very quick trip to Baghdad yesterday and was pretty tired. He got off at 10:00 PM and left for Baghdad the next morning at 8:00 AM. He returned from Baghdad and got a couple of hours of sleep and had to go in for his regular 12 - 14 hour shift. He said he kept nodding off until he hooked up with 4 cups of coffee and was just fine after that. Coffee does wonders! He was excited that so far he has had four combat flights...not to worry though, they were all safe! He had also figured out a way to possibly get the NBA playoff games in his tent. I'm not real sure what he did but all the guys in the tent chipped in and he bought some sort of receiver (I figure he got it while in Baghdad) and he is hoping to get AFN. Needless to say, he is really hoping to be able to watch the Spurs in the playoffs. We sent him a Spurs shirt and he tries to wear it on game days...he says it will increase their chances of winning! He's such a goof! He loves his Spurs. Go Spurs Go!

My day has ended on a good note...a letter from the desert!
