Unfortunately these actions effect our troops. These bridges were traveled to get the mail into FOB Hammer. Mail service is expected to temporarily be delayed or interrupted due to these bombings. The packages will still get to the FOB...it just may take longer for now.

Statement from Multi-National Force – Iraq condemning yesterday’s bombing of three Iraqi bridges
BAGHDAD, Iraq – Multi-National Force – Iraq condemns yesterday’s senseless acts against the Iraqi people, and sends its sincerest condolences to those who lost a loved one.
These unsuccessful attacks were thwarted by the bravery and determination of Iraqi Policemen and Soldiers. The selfless acts of courage and sacrifice made by these patriots show the enduring resolve of the Iraqi people, and highlight their commitment to stopping horrific acts of violence and destruction directed against all Iraqis.The Coalition Forces stand firmly with the government of Iraq and its Security Forces in ridding Iraq of these terrorists, who continue their indiscriminate and vicious attacks against the citizens of Iraq.
